Raja Ampat is one of the districts in West Papua. The area of ​​this district is the ocean, the rest are islands with more than 600 islands and there are only 4 big islands, namely Misool Island, Waigeo Island, Batanta Island, and Salawati Island. Apart from these 4 islands, only 35 islands in the Raja Ampat Archipelago are inhabited, the rest are uninhabited. Out of a total of more than 600 islands in Raja Ampat, only 400 have just been explored.

The majority of the population in Raja Ampat work as fishermen. They live on islands in the Raja Ampat archipelago. The people of Raja Ampat are known for their hospitality and kindness towards visitors who come to this island. They are very welcoming of guests from outside with a happy heart. The 4 princes later became kings on their respective islands, namely Misool Island, Waigeo Island, Batanta Island, and Salawati Island so that they were finally called Raja Ampat because there were 4 kings on 4 islands.

Raja Ampat has 75% of all coral species in the world. No other place in the world has as many coral species as Raja Ampat in one relatively small location. Apart from that, we can also meet manta rays, mermaids, sea horses, barkuda fish, reef sharks, turtles, tuna, and others.
