Mt. Merapi climbing tour
Mount Merapi is a popular climbing object. not only because we often hear about this mountain with its eruption which is almost every 4 years, but indeed this mountain has a charm that other mountains do not have. The most common and closest hiking trail is through the north side of Selo, Boyolali, Central Java, to be precise in Tlogolele Village. This village is located between Mount Merapi and Mount Merbabu. The hike through Selo takes about four to five hours of climbing4 from basecamp to the summit.
We open an open trip to climbing Mount Merapi for those of you who like to climb mountains. All climbing equipment will be prepared at the location when the climb takes place. Among them are sleeping bags, mattresses, tents, cooking utensils and logistics. All will be carried by a porter during the ascent8. This trip is suitable for those of you who want to relax and enjoy nature.
Day 1
13.00 Meeting point in Yogyakarta
14.00 Jogja – Selo trip (mountain camp base camp)
16.00 Arrive in Selo, Watch Mount Merapi National Park
16.30 Start Climbing Mount Merapi via Selo
20.30 Arrive at Bubrah Market (camping)
21.00 Have dinner and relax
Day 2
04.30 Summit to the top of Mount Merapi
06.00 Sunrise from the top of Mount Merapi
07.00 Go down to Bubrah Market then have breakfast
10.00 Preparation down to Basecamp Selo
13.00 Arrive at Basecamp then have lunch
14.00 Travel back to Jogja
16.00 Arrive in Jogja and the trip is over
