Montreux is known for its outdoor activities like hiking, swimming, canoeing, and sailing. It hosts some of the world-famous hikes as you start the hike from the Old Town centre and reach the nearby village of Glion to have an aerial view over the stunning city of Montreux.

 

Day 1 – Welcome to Switzerland! Arrival in Montreux via Zurich

  • After your arrival at Zurich Airport or train stations, make your way to Montreux by Swiss Pass.
  • You shall get a transfer from Montreux train station to the hotel by Swiss Pass.
  • From the lake to the mountains and vineyards, Montreux Riviera offers a postcard landscape.
  • It’s an authentic little piece of paradise that has attracted many artists, writers, and travelers in search of beauty, tranquillity, and inspiration.
  • Free day at leisure. Overnight at the hotel.

Day 2 – Sightseeing in Montreux | Explore the legendary city’s prime attractions

  • After having a wholesome breakfast, proceed for the Montreux city tour by Swiss Pass. Explore Montreux on a half-day sightseeing tour of the city.
  • Visit Montreux museum, Chillon Castle is made famous by Jean-Jacques Rousseau’s novel “Julie, or the New Heloise” and Lord Byron’s poem “The Prisoner of Chillon”, this fortress is a true treasure from the past: a must-see.
  • Head to the Swiss museum of games or ‘Games Castle’; since 1987, it has remained the only museum in Switzerland dedicated to the cultural history of games – and now enjoys an international reputation.
  • Chaplin World Museum, on the former country estate of the Chaplin family, “Manoir de Ban” in Corsier-sur-Vevey, a whole new world around the man with the bowler hat has been opened.
  • Gstaad, chalet village welcomes famous guests, the smaller neighboring villages offer attractive options for families with children.
  • Return to hotel.
  • Overnight at Hotel in Montreux.

Day 3 – Montreux to Geneva | Explore the diplomatic hub of the world

  • Have a delicious breakfast at the hotel and later proceed for the Geneva city tour by Swiss Pass.
  • Visit the International Museum of the Red Cross & Red Crescent which is a unique heritage located in the heart of international Geneva, near the Palais des Nations, to promote understanding of the history, current affairs, and challenges of humanitarian action in Geneva, Switzerland, and around the world.
  • Art & history museum, with more than 7,000 pieces ranging from prehistoric finds to contemporary paintings, the Musée d’art et d’histoire de Genève is one of Switzerland’s largest and most important museums.
  • The flower clock, the most famous of all clocks in Geneva is unquestionably the horloge Fleurie in the Jardin Anglais.
  • Lastly, enjoy the panoramic Lake Geneva with the boat ride.
  • Return back to the hotel in Montreux.
  • Overnight at Hotel in Montreux.

Day 4 – Montreux to Zurich | Welcome to the “Portal to the Alps”

  • After breakfast reach at Montreux train station & Board the train for Zurich by using Swiss Pass.
  • Travel from Zurich train station to hotel on your own by Swiss pass.
  • Rest day is at leisure.
  • Overnight at Hotel.

Day 5 – Zurich Sightseeing | Visit the Europe’s Largest Rhine Falls

  • After breakfast, Proceed for a Zurich city tour with Rhine Falls by Swiss Pass.
  • Explore Zurich on a half-day sightseeing tour of the city.
  • Visit the Swiss national museum, the Zurich Opera House, the Old Town, Bahnhofstrasse. After the city tour, you can visit Rhine Falls.
  • Rhine Falls is a waterfall located in Switzerland and the most beautiful waterfall in Europe. Return back to the hotel.

Day 6 – Lucerne Sightseeing | Click amazing snaps at Lion’s Monument & Chapel Bridge

  • After breakfast proceed for Lucerne city tour & Excursion to Mt. Rigi with Swiss Pass. Visit Lake Lucerne, Old town, Chapel Bridge, Lion Monument.
  • The Rigi is a mountainous area near Lucerne, It’s a typical Swiss green landscape with meadows, forests and grazing cows.
  • The views over Lake Lucerne and the surrounding mountains are wonderful. Since 1871, the area is well connected by cogwheel trains and cable cars.
  • There are many routes between villages in the valley and several stations in the Rigi hills.
  • Rigi Kulm is the highest point (1798 m) and offers great views of Lake Lucerne. There’s a restaurant at the top.
  • Return back to hotel.
  • Overnight at the hotel

Day 7 – Departure | End of Experience

  • After breakfast travel from hotel to airport by Swiss pass. Catch flight for back to home with pleasant memories.
